NET profit of the Barr and Wallace Arnold Trust, Ltd., and its subsidiaries last year was £93,112, as against £89,016 for the previous year. In his statement to the annual general meeting of the company at Leeds last week the chairman, Mr. J. M. Barr, said that 1961 had been a year of steady progress.
Mr. Barr reported that all the trust's coach and bus companies had traded at high 16/els throughout the year. Local seaside and country excursions particularly came back exceedingly well after the poor results of 1960 when appalling weather reduced activity, Inclusive holiday bookings for 1961 marked a company record on British and Continental tours.
