E news that Jacks Motors, Ltd..
of Blackburn, sponsored by the Road Haulage Association, are again to appeal against their conviction by Blackburn Magistrates for failing to cause a correct driver's record to be kept, is welcome. Although they met with a certain amount of success in their appearance before the Divisional Court, their second appeal (I understand that this time they go before the local Quarter Sessions Appeals Committee) may go even further towards modifying what this journal has more than once termed a harsh law.
