A heat wave in Romania led to trucks over 7.5 tonnes being banned from its entire road network. The ban, which lasts from 10:00-22:00hrs, was imposed last week when road surfaces were melting in temperatures of 40°C and above. It was lifted in the north and west of the country after temperatures dropped. Hauliers carrying bread, daily produce and perishable goods are exempt.
