• Parcels and freight distributor United Carriers Group has won two one-year contracts worth a total of 2400,000. United Carriers will distribute lawn mowers for Norwich-based Bartrarn in a deal valued at 2100,000: the Gretna depot has a 2300,000 contract to deliver bedding materials for Slumberclow of Hawick.
• The specialist services division of lays Distributio has won a multi-million-pound five-year contract to handle home deliveries for Swedish furniture giant IKEA. Hays will be servicing IKEA'S Brent Cross and Croydon superstores.
• Wincantan Logistics has secured a three-year contract with supermarket giant '\sda to distribute petrol and diesel to 20 South-East stores.
