* The Frejus Tunnel Company has increased the cost of its tolls. A truck running on four or more axles now pays FF917 (£100) for a single and FF11474 (1641 for a return journey.
* Belgium has increased its penalties for traffic offences. Anyone caught breaking the speed limit by 30km/h will lose their licence for 15 days. Automatic licence suspension will also be used against anyone failing to stop after an accident in which people were hurt.
