AT BLACKPOOL, last weekend, members of the National Association of Co-operative Transport Officials met for a business seminar devoted to practical management train John Nowa controller field training services, Distributive Industry Training Board, described how to assess the requirements of a job and the desirable qualities of applicants.
To bring alive the salient points in the series of lectures, the seminar split •up into specialist sections.
A highlight of the seminar was a role play in which Wally Deeley (South Suburban Society), acting as transport manager, interViewed Philip Francis (Co-operative Retail Services) playing the role of an applicant for a foreman mechanic's post.
