DECISION was reserved, on Monday, on the application of .Westeliff-onSea Motor' Services, Ltd., to take aver the services of City Coach Co., Ltd., Brentwood, which has been acquired by the British Transport Commission. It was revealed that final arrangements for the transfer of the services had not been concluded, because permission was required from the town planning authorities regarding the use of one of
the buildings concerned. •
This building, at present occupied by the Brentwood Engineering Co., •Ltd., a subsidiary company of City' Coach Co., Ltd., is to be transferred to the Westcliff-on-Sea concern for use as a running shed • for the vehicles.. The main garage is to be retained by Brentwood Engineering. The Metropolitan Licensing Authority reserved decision pending the decision of the town planning authorities........ It was hoped that the take-over would he effected on January 1, 1952. The present general .manager of City Coach Co., Ltd.,. Mr. I.. L. Quilter, B.A., is to remain in charge.
NEW NAME FOR FORD SPARES TN future, all genuine parts and acces
sories supplied by the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., Dagenham, will be marketed under the trade. name " Enfo."
This name takes the place of ".Ford." For some time past, -"Thames" has replaced " Fordson" as the designation of Dagenham-built commercial vehicles, except for Poulson Major tractors.
