LONDON COUNTRY Bus Services expect to net about £41/2 m from the 25 per cent fares increase just approved by the Traffic Commissioners. The revised fares will come into effect on March 23 to ease LCBS's predicted £5m loss for 1975.
The company's proposals for a built-in trigger mechanism were accepted by the commissioners who decided that LCBS should submit financial statements each time they wished to use it to increase fares.
