Mr Newman was placed second in Class after incurring 279 penalty points, and w also presented with the award for the driv with the most consistent performance over ti past three years. He was Class H winner 1970 and 1969.
Despite a four-team entry by Petrofina L and six other two-team entries, the tea award went to the only one entered by Pc Office Coventry. The drivers in this teal included P. J. Martin, and B. S.
