Northgate is starting a budget price range for used vehicles under the guise of Trade Vans Direct.
LIGHT COMMERCIAL rental giant Northgate has responded to the new age of austerity by marketing a budget-price range of used vehicles under the Trade Vans Direct banner.
Almost all vehicles on offer are sourced from the firm's own hire fleet; they will be sold through its depots in Bridlington, Colchester and Newmains in Scotland.
Northgate already disposes of a selection of premium ex-fleet vans through these sites using the Van Monster brand. The two will exist side by side, maintains the firm, and should appeal to different audiences.
The majority of Trade Vans Direct vehicles have covered 60,000 to 150,000 miles, with Ford's Iransit and Mercedes-Benz's Vito and Sprinter well represented. As well as vans, the stock on offer includes chassisbased models such as tippers.
"We believe we have something suitable for anybody who is on a budget," says operations director Gary Sullivan.
"The vehicles are clean," he continues. "We've serviced them since new, so we know they are sound. As a result, we can offer three-month/3,000 mile protection on all major components."
