ESULTS of the 1962. essaycompeti tion organized by-the Municipal Passenger Transport -AsSociation,' have been announced. Winner of section one, which is open to the administrative and supervisory staffs of the administrative, traffic and technical departments and inspectors, but excluding heads of departments operating more than 100 vehicles, was Mr. A. A. Moore, charge inspector, Leicester City Transport,' who was awarded a silver medal and £20. Runnerup, Mr. L. A. Johnson, traffic accountant, Sheffield Transport Department, was awarded a certificate and £10. A merit prize of £2 2s. was awarded to Mr. R. A. Doyle, administrative assistant, Development and Schedules, Liverpool Corporation Passenger Transport. The winner of section two, which was open to the operating staffs and craftsmen and maintenance employees, was Mr. R. Sanders, bus conductor of Leeds City Transport Department, who was awarded a silver medal and £20. Second prize went to.Mr. J. A. Farrington, a bus driver of Sheffield Transport Department, who was awarded a certificate and £10. Merit prizes 'of £2 2s. went to Mr. W. A. Rowlatt, bus driver, London Transport Executive, and Mr. 'F. Bell, bus driverl of Grimsby and Cleethorpes Transport Joint Committee.
