WE regret to report the death, at 64, of Mr. " Harold Charles Drayton, chairman of the British Electric Traction Co. Ltd. His financial interest in the BET Group was only one part of his widespread activities; he was head of a financial chain estimated to be worth £160m., and he was head of 27 companies and director of many more.
He took over leadership of the Drayton Group, with its large stake in public transport, in 1942.
