HEAR1NG of cases against three organizers of the Blackburn antinationalization procession on July 26 has been postponed until August 21. Those concerned are Mr. W. H. Bowker, an important haulier; Mr. J. Ainsworth. local Road Haulage Association chairman; and Miss Phyllis D. Bridge, secretary. They are charged with conducting a procession without giving prior notice.
TAX OFF MANY SPECIAL TYPES
AS foreshadowed in "The Commercial Motor" dated August 1, the Treasury is to order exemption from pur. chase tax of certain types of vehicle, including prison vans, fire tenders, mobile cinemas, clinics, canteens, libraries, horseboxes and pantechnicons, and road building, cleansing and refuse vehicles.
