A Christian Salvesen warehouse worker with medical condition that results in a weak blad!r has been sacked after he became se despere at work that he was forced to urinate into a ant pot.
Brian Price, who worked at Salvesen's iapeltown depot in Sheffield, says he repeatIly asked to he allowed to go to the toilet but as told to wait. When he could wait DO longer, he reported to have horrified managers by mak; use of the nearby plant.
Price says heart problems have resulted in s weak bladder, but that excuse cut no ice with the logistics firm who promptly sacked him.
In a statement Christian Salvesen says: "On 9 August 2002. following an extensive investigation into the facts, a man was dismissed from employment for gross misconduct. The decision to dismiss was taken after a disdplinary hearing at which all available evidence, including video tapes and witness statements, were taken into account.
"As the employee has the right to appeal against this decision, it would be inappropriate to comment further" It is unclear whether Price will be appealing.
