• Network Logistics in Birmingham is still smarting after a security guard was duped into handing over a truck loaded with .C40,000-worth of liquor.
Police are searching for the man who walked into the TDG subsidiary's depot in Tile Cross at 05.55hrs on Tuesday 29 November, claiming to be an agency driver sent over to do a job. The security guard handed over the keys for a Leyland Daf, bearing the Network Logistics and TDG juggler logo, and the thief drove off. The truck was retrieved empty in Birmingham the following day.
Police describe the man as between 25 and 35 with dark brown short curly hair and a slight moustache. He is 5ft 7in or 5ft 8in tall and wearing a waxed jacket. He was very selfassured and gave no cause for suspicion.
