The 58-member network handles 2,500 pallets at the hub every night; throughput is set to be nearer 3,500 a night by 2007.
Network development director Alan Cramley says that plans to cope with this growth are being developed with the support of French parent company Geodis: In a few years' time we're going to need a larger hub and we're already in conversation regarding that project.
"No one's saying it doesn't fit with Geodis's plans; they're quite happy to spend money."
