OCAL authorities are beginning to .1—■ show a greater awareness of the essential function of the goods vehicle in supplying shops and other business premises, reports the Traders Road Transport Associationin a review of traffic activities over the past six months. The authorities are also increasingly willing to consult the Association so as to keep to a minimum the disruption
caused to goods vehicle operations.
In the past six months, 35 traffic proposals were made by local authorities and 26 from earlier months were still under review; of 27 eases which had reached finality, 14 proposals were accepted by the T.R.T.A. after investigation, eight were the subject of " satisfactory negotiation" and five went to public inquiry.
