AMOBILE butcher's shop based on a Commer 25-cwt. forward-control oil-engined chassis has recently been produced by I. H. Jennings and Son, Ltd., Sandbach, Cheshire. Of composite construetion..the body is panelled internally and externally in aluminium and has an interior length of II ft.
6 in. Access to the serving area at the rear is through a recessed sliding door on the near side.
Three translucent plastics lights are fitted in each cant panel. The large display windows have blinds. There is a small corner washbasin behind the driver, and above it a two-gallon insulated water tank.
There are wooden shelves down both sides of the shop at counter height. A 2-ft. by 1-ft. 6-in. chopping block is let in on the off-side. Ali other shelving is covered with aluminium, and two stainless-steel meat rails extend along each side of the shop above counter height.
Finished internally in white and externMly in cream and mistletoe green, the vehicle is to be operated on the Isle of Islay, Inner Hebrides.
