his own design has been added to his fleet by Mr. Arthur Batty, of Beckside Road, Bradford. The body length is 22 ft. 6 ins., the interior height is 11 ft., and the height overall, from ground to
roof, is:!N12 ft. The dropped rear portion of the van is only 9 ins, from the ground, and by means of a ramp, which is lowered by chains, loaders can walk into the vehicle with the heaviest articles of furniture.
Except for curved beaten-metal panels at the front and rear, the body 1i; made from arm ourply. Curved
headings in chromium-plated metal emphasize the streamlined effect, and on the roof there is a fine latticework for carrying baggage.
Built by Mr. Ernest Dews, of Brighouse, and painted and varnished in Mr. Batty's own shop, the body is mounted an a T.T.A. semi-trailer, which is hauled by a Diamond-T 27 h.p. petrol-driven tractor unit.
Immediately after delivery, the vehicle was awarded a first prize in a Bradford trades procession.
