from Dave Browning, chairman of the CV Show (CM1-7 May). Please would it be at all possible to hold a future show over a long weekend?
I know several people would have liked to visit the show but unfortunately, due to heavy working commitments, were unable to spare the time off during what is, after all, normal working time.
I think many more people, such as drivers and ownerdrivers, would welcome the chance to attend and may be more likely to have time at the weekend to visit.
We have to remember that due to the nature of road haulage work, we have to deliver when the customer requires it.
And it is far from easy to find drivers who will look after the work while you are away, especially during mid-week.
I look forward to hearing what Mr Browning thinks of this.
