A range of pipeline strainers introduced by Samuel Birkett Ltd. are suitable for pipelines carrying steam, water, oil, as or air. The strainers feature self-aligning screens and a straining area several times that of the pipeline bore. There' is ample clearance round the screens. Standard screens are of brass or stainless steel and can easily be removed for cleaning or replacement. Available in gunmetal, cast iron and cast steel, the strainers will withstand steam temperatures up to 650deg F and maximum working pressures up to 350 p.s.i.g.
Special flanges are available to suit various standards, including British (BS), American (ASA) and Continental (DIN). Strainer sizes range from fin. to 51n. diameter and can usually be sup plied from stock.
