OUT OF EVIL came good for Mike Bletsoe-Brown when he had a car accident at the age of about 20. While many others might have blown the compensation, he invested it in a Ford Transit 35cwt van. Now, at 32, he is head of M and B Transport, of Sywell, Northampton, owning 27 lorries, including 11 artics.
Much of his early traffic was air freight but after about four years the budding tycoon was into international haulage. Mike has also made good use of his early training in agriculture by offering an aerial crop-spraying service.
Always looking for new opportunities, he branched out into Frazer Cars, selling £12,000 versions of the BL Metro. This distinctly dilettante business was subsequently taken over by even more upmarket Aston Martin.
