THIS MIGHT LOOK like the aftermath of a headon collision between a wheelie-bin and an original Renault Master, but it is in fact the irst picture of the all-new Ford Transit.
Although heavily disguised, it’s clear that this is an entirely new design. The headlights, grille and badge position are of a similar design to the new Ford Focus, while the rearend is all-new too, with taller, narrower tail-lights.
The van, which is
likely to be launched in 2013, is no doubt harbouring Ford’s new Stage-5 emission level 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi engine. This new family of engines, which lower CO2 and increase fuel eficiency and service intervals, will appear in a revised Ford Transit due to go on sale by the end of the year.
