Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The ninth edition of the " Home Market Analysis," issued by the statistical department of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, contains 35 tables giving valuable information regarding motor vehicles in use, and sales of new motor vehicles, by each taxation class, in each of the 195 licensing districts.

The year 1934 marked a good recovery in the sale of goods vehicles despite increased taxation, and new sales in the year ended September 30 last amounted to 67,349 units, repre,senting an increase of 33h. per cent. over the previous year's total. With one exception, there were increases in all internal-combustion-engined classes up to 4-5 tons, the main advances being recorded in the 12-cwt.-1-ton, 11-ton-2-ton, and 2-ton-2i-ton categories.

. The number of commercial-vehicle licences current at May 31 last was 530,832, and it is estimated that in the quarter ending August 31 this will have increased to 556,820, and in that ending November 30 will have decreased to 526,501.

A forecast .of new commercialvehicle sales during 1935 indicates registrations of 71,500 goods vehicles and 7,560 hackney vehicles.

Death of Prominent Sheffield Haulier.

• The death took place, last Saturday, of Mr. George Thomas Glossop, who was prominently associated with road transport in the Sheffield district. The small business which he founded in 1913 developed into one of the largest transport concerns in Sheffield.
