QMALL enough to be packed into the ■ --) tool box of a large multi-wheeled vehicle, the Maxim P.U.P. Junior is a lightweight portable compressor capable of tackling a full-sized job, and able to undertake several functions. It is manufactured by Maxim Engineering, Ltd., West Row, Ladbroke Grove, London, W.10, and a high standard of workmanship has been achieved both in design and construction.

Powered by a J.A.P. four-stroke engine of I h.p. or by a h.p. single phase A.C. motor, the compressor, driven by a V-belt from the power unit, has a displacement of 4 cubic ft. per minute and provides a maximum available pressure of 150 lb. per sq, in, lt will inflate a 37-in. by 7-in. tyre to 90 lb. in four minutes.

Adaptable for a number of uses, it can be fitted with spray, grease or dusting guns. The dusting gun can be used for blowing through blocked radiator cores, and will operate small pneumatic tools.
