As a major supplier of refrigerated vans to the food industries both in the United Kingdom and overseas we would like to draw your readers' attention to the fact that, following a recent item in the trade press [Not CM—Ed), there appears to be some confusion as to the standards demanded for refrigerated vehicles under the ATP agreement. Specificallyit was stated that this agreement barred the use of exposed rivet heads and panel joints. This is not the case; the main aims of the ATP agreement cover standards of thermal efficiency and present methods of lining refrigerated vehicles with panels of various materials are completely acceptable.
