Liquid Petroleum Gas Pump A LIGHTWEIGHT, compact, liquid-petroleum-gas pump. r-lcalled the Viking vane-pump, is to be manufactured in this country early next year by Zwicky Ltd. This pump, which measures 15 in. by 101 in. by 7 in. and weighs only 65 lb., is at present being imported from America. The Viking has a maximum operating pressure of 400 p.s.i. and is capable of delivering 65 gal. of liquefied petroleum gas a minute at a pressure of 50 p.s.i. when operating at 640 r.p.m.

Among the exclusive features claimed for this pump are taper roller bearings; long-life, cartridge-type mechanical seals which cannot be wrongly assembled; a drive shaft at both ends: three-way integral valves which allow return-to-tank, internal relief, or non-operation; and 0-ring seals between pump head and casing.

The body is provided with 2+ in.-square companion flanges, and it is possible to change the pressure settings while the pump is operating.
