A CHASSIS dynamometer is a feature of the new service bay opened today by Solcx, Ltd., at 223 N/farylebone Road, London,'N.W.1. The dynamometer is an HPA unit of Danish manufacture, the concessionnaires for which are V. L. Churchill and Co., Ltd., Feltham, Middlesex.
The machine is to be used with Crypton carburation and, ignition testing equipment for fault-finding and tuning, and can be used to indicate fuel consumption, maximum speed, acceleration and hillclimbing performances. Speeds of well over 100 m.p.h. can be reproduced, and the water brake can absorb 300 b.h.p.
