when it was announced earlier this year. True, the engines were based on the two-yearold ATi units, but even they had new cross-flow cylinder heads and more power. There were also new or revised frames, suspensions and transmissions, but inevitably much of the initial interest has centred on the new cab. This cab, the product of the Cabtec co-operative venture between Daf and Spain's Enasa, has instantly updated Daf's hitherto oldfashioned public face.
