THE ADMINISTRATORS appointed to rescue trailer firm Crane Fruehauf hope a buyer can be found within two weeks.
Stephen Oldfield, joint administrator at PricewaterhouseCoopers, reports that "over a dozen" interested parties from the UK and the Continent have visited the factory at East Dereham.
Oldfield was expecting confirmed interest late last week (II February); he talks of sealing a deal within a fortnight: "There's a mixture of trade buyers, entrepreneurs and local businesses interested. Some want the order book and brand name; others want it as a trailer business in East Dereham."
Crane Fruehauf went into administration on 1 February with the loss of 345 jobs. Crane Fruehauf Parts & Service is unaffected by this and continues trading as normal.
