THE WAVERLEY series of coach tours run by Lothian Region Transport has been expanded. The series, started last year, were the first IRT tours to operate outside Edinburgh.
More than 11,000 passengers were taken to destinations like Loch Lomond, Glamis Castle and the Central Highlands last year, and this year the tours will take in the English Lakes, Royal Deeside, Durham, Glencoe and Oban and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
Other trips to be expanded include the Talisman Superbreaks, which offer three or four-day holidays to various parts of Britain and the Continent.
