A vehicle made before 1 October 1989 and authorised under the Order (in any category) is exempt from the following C and U Regulations: Heavy motor car 8—vehicle width 15—braking requirements for post-March 1983 vehicles (so Regulation 16 for pre-1 April 1983 vehicles applies) 16—only in respect of 16% parking brake efficiency 18—general brake efficiencies 22—springs 24—tyres 25—tyre loadings and speeds
