Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I N a recent interview which members of the Press

had with the Minister of Transport in connection with the issue of the new Highway Code, he stated that the cyclist is definitely the big problem of the road. This is the reason why there is far more in the new Code regarding this class of user. In 1928 the number of cyclists killed was 621 and the injured 27,680, but in 1934 the first figure rose to 1,536 and the second to 67,705. During this period there was practically no increase in fatalities amongst pedestrians. The Minister hopes that, in the future, much of the danger in connection With road crossings will be obviated by the employment of fly-over junctions.

GRANTHAM'S municipal bus station has been the subject of much favourable comment in this country, and a reference to it and an illustration were included in a special article, published in our issue dated March 29, dealing with the design of bus stations, the Grantham structure being regarded as typical of a well-planned station for a small town. Mr. P. A. Berm, F.S.I., the borough surveyor, who designed it, has further cause for pride, for it is reported that, after reading The Commercial Motor, the professor of automobile engineering at Moscow University has asked for plans and details of the station.
