A NUMBER of long-range glassfibre fuel tanks, which it is claimed can provide a 1000-mile range without the need to refuel, are now being marketed by Hatcher Components of Broadwater Road, Framlingham, Suffolk (te1: Framlingham 723675).
Two types have been developed so far, one of 295.75 litre (65ga1) capacity and one of 136.5 (30gal). Both are for tractive units and take the place of a catwalk. They have been designed to fit any tractive unit with the minimum of trouble.
The tanks act as auxiliary fittings replenishing the vehicles existing fuel supply so that no complicated pipework is necessary. The tanks come complete with locking fuel cap and tap to prevent pilferage and accidental discharge.
