portable televisions and radio/cassettes — have been bought by London haulage firm Les Sampson Services. The 38-tonne, twin-steer tractive units, which the manufacturer has dubbed the "truckers' truck", were supplied by Maidstone dealers Drake and Fletcher for around 2210,000.
Sampson, which has a contract to supply American military bases in this country, has already ordered four more 4-11s. It now has 26 Seddon Atkinsons in a fleet of 80 vehicles.
