Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

El Bradford remoulder Colway Commercial has added a drawbar outfit with demountable bodies to its fleet of rigids and artics for evaluation within its tyre distribution operation.

The outfit will be able to carry new and used tyres separately, and with extra bodies in operation it is expected to streamline the operation, The combination comprises a pair of 7.77m swap bodies from I C Payne on a 5.5m Leyland Daf 2100 chassis with top sleeper cab and Ray Smith trailer, In addition to the Contar extending drawbeam for close running, the steel-sprung truck and trailer uses the proven RS Ten-Plus electro-hydraulic demount System.

Bodies for the £80,000 rig have sturdy 21mm TP1 Glasonit GRP panels with extra stiffening at the bulkhead framework. Wood laminate floors are wax treated to fend off floor rot, with drain holes to release water leaking from old tyre carcasses.

Specified and supplied by Ryder Truck Rentals, the combination will be used by Colway under full service contract hire and could be the prototype for a full fleet revision.
