ONE of the latest types of tanker to be put into service for the transport of invert sugar has been delivered to Collings and Stevenson (Contracts), Ltd., Acton, London, W.5. This company operates the vehicle under contract to George Clark and Son, Ltd.. which has factories in London, Bletchley and Manchester. Halls (Finchley), Ltd., North Finchley, London, N.12, supplied the machine: A Seddon 8-10-ton tractor chassis is coupled to a Carrimore serni-trailer, on which is Mounted a 1,800-gallon elliptical tank divided into .three compartments, each of 600-gallon -eapaeity.: The tank was manufactured 13y. the Steel Barrel. Co., Ltd., Uxbridge, and is 20 ft. 9 ins. long, 6 ft. 6 ins:. wide and 2 ft. 101 ins. high. Constructed of inikL.Steel, the tank is carried on seven light. boxsectiort steel bearers clamped to the framework of the serni-trailer.
