Any tendency for the body to move sideways is checked by a rectangularframe stabilizer made by. the Maker of the body -and tipping gear—the Spcnborough Engineering Co., Ltd., Heckmondwike. This stabilizer is So effective that it is possible to incorporate ball universal mountings at the base of

Power for tipping is obtained from the power take-off on the gearbox of the Foden chassis which forms the basis of the outfit. The Spenborough mashplate pump is driven via a universally
jointed shaft. The control for the power take-off is arranged inside -the cab, the valve control for the pump being on the •off side of the 'chassis behind the cab. Incorporated -inthe tipping gear is a safety release Valve which. can be set. to operate at any pre-determined pressure.
The body is of steel and wood construction. A steel • sub-frame supports channel-section steel cross-bearers; to the ends of which the Steelrihs:suporting the boarded sides" arebolted and welded. • The body-is 17.ft.6..ins. 7 ft. 6 ins. wide and 3 ft:6 ins. high.
