A TRUCK DRIVER has been crushed to death between two vehicles at a haulage yard in Lancashire.
Jeffery Davies, 56, from Preston is believed to have been coupling his tractor to a trailer when the incident occurred at around 7pm on 5 March at K&P Iddon Transport in Leyland.
A spokeswoman for Lancashire police says: "Emergency services were called to Iddon Transport where an employee was reported crushed between two trucks. The driver was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Ajoint police and Health and Safety Executive investigation has commenced into the circumstances of the accident."
Iddon Transport declined to comment on the matter as an investigation is underway.
