THERE WAS uncertainty this week over the fate of Dutch operator Stok Continental Services — with sonic reports suggesting it had ceased trading.
CM tried to contact the firm unsuccessfully about its alleged lack of payment to Canterburybased Whitefriar International. Whitefriar says this non-payment is the reason it is withholding funds from a number of its subcontractors (CM 26 February).
When CM called its premises we were told the company had left and three other numbers for firms within the Stok group were dead. However, the Dutch Chambers of Commerce says as far as it knows the linn continues to trade.
Stok Continental Services was launched last March by Jacques Van der Linden.
