lien Motors, Ltd., Beaver Lane, London, W.G, announces the introduction of a new 3-tonner in two wheelbase lengths, 11 ft. 10 ins. and 1% ft. 10 ins., called respectively Model 2B and Model 3D, and the Reo Gold Crown sixcylindered engine in improved form is fitted to each, this having a bore of 31 ins, and a stroke of 5 ins., and developing 75 b.h.p. at 2,800 r.p.m. It has a down-draught carburetter.
There is an 11-in, single-plate clutch, the drive being conveyed through a four-speed gearbox (unit construction) and an exposed propeller shaft with mechanical universal joints to a fully floating rear axle of 5.83-to-1 final-drive ratio. Hydraulic brakes are employed, and the standard equipment is 7.00-in. by 20-in, low-pressure tyres (twin rear).
On the short-wheelbase model the length from the cab to the end of the frame is 8 ft. 91 ins., whilst on the longer model it is 11 ft. 81 ins. The prices are not, up to the present, announced.
