took place this week, with discussions centring on ways to improve the country's road transport infrastructure.
The Road Freight Forum was established as a result of trade association pressure and comprises representatives from industry and government departments.
The Road Haulage Association says its main aim is to identify problems and issues within the road freight industry.
The RHA's Scotland and Northern Ireland director, Phil Flanders, says: "It was agreed that the forum should meet every three months. If as much progress is made in the future as was made at this, the first meeting, I think we will see improvements to literally all aspects of Northern Ireland's infrastructure."
