DENNiSON TRAiLERS MD James Dennison has paid tribute to operators, employees and family after the Lancaster manufacturer celebrated building its 40,000th trailer. “it has been 48 years since Jim and George Dennison built the first trailer, using an axle from a second-hand truck. Our 40,000th trailer represents an important milestone in the company’s history.
“As a company we have come through some hard times in recent years, and we appreciate the support we get from the industry,” he said.
The trailer, a tri-axle, sliding skeletal painted silver, was handed over to Duncan Scillitoe, director of Collease. He said: “We have bought more than 2,000 trailers over the years from Dennison. We stick with the manufacturer because of build quality, reliability and the excellent residual values.” Scillitoe confirmed that he will order another 100 trailers next year.
