A LTHOUGH the net deficit of Coras
Iompair Eireann for 1963-4 Imounted to 11,606,000, this was an mprovement of more than £150,000 on he previous year. The actual Working oss shown in the year's accounts was :536,635, this total being kept down by urpluses in respect of road passenger iperations (£275,708), road freight operaions (£36,864) and hotels and catering £134,872). Road passenger results would ta.ve been better but for the strike of bus meratives in April-May, 1963, the net oss in connection therewith being given s £342,000.
