VEEDER-ROOT has launched a new automatic tachograph called the Timesaver. The only time the driver needs to touch the duty knob is to move into or out of the rest position.
From this month Veeder-Root's mechanical and electronic tachographs will be available with the timesaver at no extra charge.
A conversion service to fit the timesaver to Veeder-Root tachographs is also available through authorised dealers at a cost of E12.
The automatic recording marks the various duty functions on the outside time trace and is identified by the width of the trace. This has been achieved by changing the design of the cams within the duty selector knob.
