TRADE CREDITORS of North East Logistics, the Darlington-based firm that went into liquidation last month, are estimated to be owed over £200,000.
Tait Walker has been appointed to realise the assets of the firm that was a UK Pallets member; a spokesman says it's too early to say how long this process will take.
However, UK Pallet's commercial director Graeme Wilson says there is a "glimmer of hope" it will see some of the money it is owed.
According to documents filed at Companies House, UK Pallets (pictured right) represents one of the largest creditors of the company, with almost £68,000 owed.
Wilson says it put its disaster recovery plan into place and, as a result, service levels weren't affected.
Wilson says: You live and learn. As a business we will survive it. It's left a sour taste in our mouths. It's not the best way to manage your exit from the pallet network," Carter Haulage has replaced North East Logistics' work for the pallet company.
