• An investigation by Home Off police and fire service experts is being m into how a road tanker containing 250( of hydrochloric acid came to spill ab 50gal of its contents onto an Asl Birmingham, street on January 10.
The BP Chemicals Ltd driver i preparing to discharge the load at fact premises when acid began pouring fror +in, hole in the base of the tank. Firer plugged the leak with a wooden peg ; lime was spread over the spillage.
