[he licence specifying two vehicles ging to Mr E. Murphy of Woolston, lampton, was revoked by the South rn deputy LA last week and an apion to add one more vehicle refused ring the issue of one delayed and one diate GV9 on one vehicle and one diate GV9 on the other. A conviction defective brake was also noted.
vehicle examiner, Mr T. A. Field, told eputy LA Mr G. Mercer, that besides
the GV9s there was no planned maintenance programme, repairs being carried out when required. Mr Murphy pointed out, however, that only two days before the issue of one prohibition the vehicle in question had been at a main dealer being repaired and the items listed on the GV9 had been checked by the garage.
Mr Murphy told the deputy LA that although he had two vehicles only one was being used at any one time, the other being held in reserve. He wanted to add one more vehicle now, however, because of an increase in business.
The deputy LA refused the application and revoked the licence telling Mr Murphy that he had failed to keep to the conditions of his original application. Mr Murphy would be able to apply for a licence again but the situation would have to irk prove before a licence could be granted.
