New Premises: Coachwork Conversions Ltd., which specializes in factory-approved bodywork on Renault Estafettes, has moved from High Street, Berkhamsted to Stanbridge Garage, Leighton Road, Stanbridge, Beds. (Tel.: Hock Idle 497.) D.B.S. at Uxbridge: D.B.S. Coachworks Ltd. has opened a new branch at the industrial Estate, Wallingford Road, Uxbridge, Middlesex (tel.: Uxbridge 32643, 34849). The branch has facilities for coachbuilding and especially accident repair work, carries stocks of Pilot tipping gears and spares and operates an accident recovery service.
Hull Numbers: The Hull depot of Leyland Motors Ltd. has a new telephone number, Hull 24541-2-3. The " after hours " telephone number of Ford and Slater (Lines) Ltd., Macauley Street, Grimsby, is now Laceby 209.
New Laycock Depot: Lay-cock Engineering Ltd. has opened a new Midland area depot at Vulcan Road. Trent Valley, Lichfield (tel.: Lichfield 4121J2). Northern Trailers Expansion: With orders on its books worth more than £250,000, Northern Trailers Ltd. plans to build an extension of some 8,000 sq. ft. to the concern's existing factory at llishoetsbriggs. Glasgow. As well as this new building, another extension is planned to the main
factory, will consist of an office block, oinery and repair departments in Separate buildings Consideration is also being given by the concern to the possibility of building a factory in " another distressed area in England."
Improved A.E.C. Facilities in Cardiff. From July 3 the existing A.E.C. service and spare parts depot at East Canal Wharf, Cardiff, will be closed and facilities will be available from a new Commercial Vehicle (Sales and Repairs) Ltd. depot at Penarth Road. To further improve service and spares efficiency, the management and many of the staff of the A.E.C. Cardiff depot will be transferred to the new depot. Telephone number is Cardiff 24871; Telex 49254. DX Bearing Material: Reference to a new bearing material is made in the annual statement by the chairman of the Glacier Metal Co. Ltd. He says: One new product, DX bearing material, has been brought to the stage of manufacture during the year and presentation to the market will start in the autumn. This is in addition to our range of composite non-metallic materials and has been developed to meet the need for bearings which continuously operate under conditions of boundary lubrication." A company spokesman told The Commercial Motor this week that no further details were available at present.

New Lea Group Site: The Lea Group (.1 companies, through their member company Weybriclge Automobiles Distributors Ltd., has acquired the Egham by-pass site previously owned by the Egham Motor company with a view to developing it as " the finest commercial vehicle sales and service centre for Austin in Surrey."
