Ross Auto Engineering Ltd has introduced a new electric platform-truck, the Ross Beaver. It is a four-wheel industrial truck capable of carrying up to 60001b.
The specification for the Beaver includes small turning circles of 19ft, and it can make 90deg turns in aisles as narrow as 7ft. It has simple pedal control, four-speed contactor control, or, for more economical running where a high percentage of tight manouvring is called for, a solid state Thynster controller.
The platform length is 6ft 6in and 3ft 9in, wide; overall length is 9ft 9in. It weighs 18 to 24cwt, according to battery size, brakes are Girling hydraulic acting on all four wheels, and the mecha
nical handbrake is linked to the rear wheels only.
The Beaver has a low-profile cab and dropped front platform combining strength with comfort and clear, easy access.
